I Am Chanelle.
Some people have described me as gregarious, deep thinking, compassionate, creative, and individualistic.
My husband describes me as unique, suprising, and tough.
I describe myself as determined, idealistic, and an incessant dreamer.
My life began in Davenport, Iowa as the first of four children born to loving parents. My father was a news broadcaster and my mother raised us kids, sharing her love of music and art. The broadcasting industry forced us to move sixteen times by the time I was fourteen, which at that time, my father became a finicial advisior, allowing us to settle in Tucson, Arizona. My parents and siblings still live there ... along with a piece of my heart.
At the age of twenty, I married my best friend, Dave, and moved to Utah ... it is still our home today. We have three children and love to camp, offroad, and explore the lands around us. My children can out name any other child when it comes to wild plants and birds ... something that makes me proud. They are also kind to those around us and recieve praises from all the neighbors ... which makes me even more proud. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, or also known as Mormons.
The relationships with my family come first in my life. After that I pursue my dreams, of which I have many. My goal is to make those dreams into reality. It isn't always easy, but I have learned that if I am patient, they always come true.
A few of my favorite things are forgotten places, outragous ideas, intriguing histories, and delicious flavors.
Oh ... and birds. I love birds.
My blog, Convincing Chanelle, received its name when one day I quickly drew a bird ... a black-capped chickadee to be more precise. I showed it to my husband in excitement, but quickly asked if it was good or not. He looked at me in shock, saying I already knew it was good and to learn to give myself more credit. He said, "That's what your blog should be called ... Convincing Chanelle. You second guess everything you do. The only person you need to convince your abilites to is yourself."
And that is what Convincing Chanelle is for ... a place to create, share, and not second guess myself ... to learn to just be ...
Chanelle.
