Have you ever bitten into a cherry tomato from your salad while at a fancy dinner?
What normally happens?
You awkwardly try to keep your mouth closed while it inevitably squirts your neighbor across the table.
Am I not right?
I can't stand that!
So, when I saw a cherry tomato plant that supposedly had 1/2 inch fruit, I had to grow it.
It is called Mexico Midget and it lives up to its name.
It is wonderful!
Tiny fruits.
And yummy.
Oh, so yummy!
When my friend saw my plant she said, "They're so small. What's the point?"
So I picked one and handed it to her.
"Oh, wow. That's good."
Yep! They are that good.
These little fruits pack a punch of rich, non-acidic tomato flavor.
And what's better?
The plant is huge!
I'll have super yummy, non-squirting, tiny tomatoes until the end of the season.
And every season afterwards ... as I have found the ultimate cherry tomato!
YUM!
